Dr. Lisa Lines

Director, Head Editor and Head Tutor
Bachelor of Arts and Honours Creative Writing, (University of Adelaide). Honours History and PhD Social Sciences, (Flinders University).
Dr. Lisa Lines is a qualified academic and writer, and has been an editor for ten years. She has edited hundreds of essays, assignments and theses for students. These documents have been written by students in a wide variety of fields. Dr. Lines has also worked as a writer and editor for an independent Australian newspaper.
Dr. Lines has extensive private tutoring experience, at both a secondary and tertiary level. She has tutored for ten years in the following areas: English as a Second Language, Humanities and Social Sciences subjects, and general academic skills (including research methods and organisation, essay planning, writing, referencing, formatting and editing).
She has taught History at an Australian university, at both an undergraduate and Honours level. Her qualifications include: Bachelor of Arts (majors in History and English), Honours in History, Honours in Creative Writing, Graduate Diploma of Language (Spanish - not completed), and PhD Social Sciences (History). The title of her PhD thesis is 'Milicianas: Women in Combat in the Spanish Civil War, (1936-1937).' Dr. Lines is constantly updating and improving her teaching and editing skills.
Ms. Sigrid Christiansen

Bachelor of Arts and Honours History, (University of Adelaide). PhD Social Sciences (to be completed 2008)
Ms. Sigrid Christiansen is a qualified academic, writer and editor. As an undergraduate at the University of Adelaide, she completed a double major in English (Media and Communications) and History, and followed by an Honours degree in History. Ms. Christiansen currently holds a scholarship to write a PhD in Social Sciences, investigating how work and life fit together for young adults in Adelaide, South Australia.
Her most recent publication discusses how young women's experiences in the workforce could affect their fertility patterns in the future. Ms. Christiansen is also writing a research publication and website for the University's Ethics Committee. Throughout her career, Ms. Christiansen has edited a substantial number of essays, fellowship applications, scholarship applications, resumes and academic research publications for students and colleagues at highly ranked Australian universities.
Dr. Renfrey Clarke

Bachelor of Arts (Australian National University), Diploma of Education (Latrobe), PhD Social Sciences (University of New South Wales).
Dr Renfrey Clarke is a qualified and highly experienced editor, a journalist and a specialist in international studies. For many years a newspaper correspondent reporting from Latin America and Russia, he has also lectured at the University of New South Wales and the University of South Australia. As well as having experience as a book editor and secondary English teacher, he is a noted translator with dozens of titles to his credit in the areas of history, politics, philosophy and economics.
Dr. Linda Westphalen
Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma of Education, (University of Adelaide), Honours English.
Dr. Linda Westphalen completed her teaching qualification in 1985, her Honours in English in 1993 and her PhD in 2002 in Indigenous Women's Life Histories. She has taught in Women's Studies and Australian Studies at Flinders University, as well as worked as a teacher in secondary schools. Her current teaching and research focusses on Cultural Studies issues to do with education, ICTs and Higher Degree supervision. Her interests also include Gifted Education, Life-writing and gender debates. She is also an eclectic reader of history, archaeology, anthropology and politics. Dr. Westphalen is a highly experienced and talented editor.
Mr. Guy Carney
Bachelor of Arts and Honours English, (University of Adelaide), PhD Humanities (to be completed 2008).
Mr. Guy Carney is an experienced editor and tutor, and has extensive experience writing and editing. He completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English at the University of Adelaide, and then a first class Honours in English, for which he won the Vera May Swift prize. He was then offered a PhD with a scholarship at the University of Adelaide, which he is currently completing.
Throughout his PhD candidature, Mr. Carney has presented a number conference papers and has published as well. In addition to editing experience he has gained through his research, including editing other students' material, he has worked on updating an early 20th century South African novel, and has also gained editing experience working at Brepols, a renowned publishing company specialising in medieval studies. As a tutor, Mr. Carney has taught essay writing skills and English as a Second Language to students in Years 8-11.
